To become a member please complete the TWO steps below :

**Skip Step 1...If you already created a SportsEngine account**

STEP 1:  Create a SportsEngine account: Click on "Create an Account" next to the Login link at the upper left of this page. Once you compete this step you will receive an activation email from Sport Engine.  It may take a few minutes for the activation email to arrive. Click on the link in the activation email. (Sport Engine is the company that hosts our website)

STEP 2:  Register and Pay Membership FEE: Once you have successfully created a Sport Engine account, click on the long blue banner above to sign up for LATA membership and leagues. 

You will then be able to sign up for an LATA membership, leagues, challenge ladder and pay with your VISA, MasterCard or Discover.

 Once your membership has been reviewed and approved, you'll have access to the website.

2025 LATA MEMBERSHIP COSTS AND DETAILS

• LATA Memberships are based on Calendar Year.
• Calendar Year 2025 Membership Fee (1/1/25-12/31/25):  $35
• 1/2 Year 2025 Membership Fee (7/1/25-12/31/25):  $25
• You must register for 2025 LATA Membership to stay active, access website, and participate in any LATA events.
• If you want to play a league, join membership first, go back to join the League(s) of your choice.

WHAT'S INCLUDED WITH MY LATA MEMBERSHIP?

• Subbing for tennis leagues is free, included with your membership.  You will be added to our Sub List for all Tennis Leagues (Option to opt in/out during registration process)
• Challenge Ladder is free - including monthly Challenge Ladder draws, seasonal tournaments (Option to opt in/out during registration process)
• Access to our LATA website, the hub for all membership directories, activities and registrations
• Many planned social activities, functions and gatherings, such as a pool party, picnic and year end holiday party
• Newsletters, social media and communications of all LATA related activities, results, member profiles and more

WHAT ARE ADDITIONAL COSTS?

• Tennis Leagues: Prices vary by league, format and location
• Tournaments: Inter/national and Club tournaments planned throughout the year, prices vary
• Cups: Each Cup will set a 'tryout' fee and if selected, a final 'team' fee
• Additional Tennis Activities:  Various activities including drills, clinics, social drop in, will be offered throughout the year
• Social Activities:  Many will be included with your membership, 'special' events may be planned with a fee to cover costs

RANKING DAY:

• We encourage players of all skill levels to participate in LATA events.  Getting ranked ensures you will always play other players at similar skill levels.
• Our initial new Member Ranking Day happens early January, with additional ranking days/times scheduled throughout the year.
• You do not need to have a ranking to be a member, but all members are required to have a ranking to play in leagues, ladder and inter-club tournaments.

TENNIS LEAGUES:

• Our Tennis Leagues are the most popular LATA activities.  We offer a full slate of seasonal and year-round tennis, including new league formats, locations, days and times.

DRILLS CLINICS:

• We call our drills clinics "DRILLS 'n FRILLS"  ('DnF')- Our most popular Tennis Clinic.
• Our 'DnF' events are planned quarterly, open to all members, all levels, and you do not need to have an LATA ranking to participate.
• 'DnF' will hone your tennis skills, a great workout, always fun and social.

CHALLENGE LADDER:

• A full year of Challenge Ladders and Ladder Tournaments are planned

TOURNAMENTS:

• LATA sponsors inter-club singles, doubles and social tournaments throughout the year.  Additionally LATA hosts GLTA (inter)national tournaments.

CUPS:

• A full slate of 'CUPS', organized team tournament events for all members and levels, competing against other West Coast Clubs.
• Tryouts typically begin spring/summer.  Tournament 'host cities' rotate annually, summer/fall.
• Costs vary per Cup and tournament.
